SCUBA Courses - Advanced Courses

Diving is a great hobby, but like any hobby it can become boring if you just do the same thing every time. The best way to continue to enjoy diving is advancing your skills by continuing education. By increasing your personal skills and experiencing different diving conditions you gain a double benefit; an increase in your enjoyment and an increase in your safety.

BlueFish Diving are pleased to be able to offer training for PADI Advanced courses to Divemaster and Master Scuba Diver and BSAC to Dive Leader. BSAC Advanced Diver courses can also be arranged.

We can also offer crossover courses should you wish to gain a different agency qualification. There is now a general agreement between agencies for students crossing over, with equivalent grades, so you do not have to start again! Please contact us to discuss your particular requirements.

PADI Courses

Advanced Open Water Diver

The emphasis on this course is development through experience.  The Adventure dives option will give the diver experience of different diving conditions and skills, but to gain the full advantage of the training the Advanced Open Water Diver qualification should be completed.

Rescue Diver

Being a good diver is not just about knowing how to set your equipment up and do good checks. It is about an ability, learnt by training and experience, to deal with whatever situation you come across, whether it is affecting you or another diver. The Rescue Diver course will give a sound base to develop these skills and is the next certification after Advanced Open Water.

Which way now?

It is time to make some choices again. If you want to improve your own skills by attending different Speciality courses but do not have an interest in passing your skills on to others, then the Master Scuba Diver is for you. If however, you enjoy the challenge of teaching and wish to help an instructor as a certified assistant, then the Divemaster route is the certification to go for. Either way, BlueFish Diving will be happy to help you get there. If you are not sure which route is for you, please give us a call and we will be happy to help.

Master Scuba Diver

The Master Scuba Diver is the highest recreational qualification in PADI. It shows a diver who has a broad experience in a wide range of conditions and denotes superior achievement and efficiency.

Divemaster

This is the first professional level in PADI, and the training reflects this. As a Divemaster you must have exemplary diving skills, good rescue skills, professional-level knowledge of dive theory, competence as a certified assistant, dive management and super vision abilities, ethical role model behaviour, and do all of this with enthusiasm and fun.
