First Aid Courses
In the modern world of today, having a good knowledge of First Aid is becoming more and more important. Apart from the immense satisfaction of saving a life (I know, I have saved a few in my previous jobs), there are more and more areas of litigation where a good knowledge of First Aid will help. BlueFish Diving are happy to offer the Emergency First Response certification, which has a two-year validity.
The course covers as standard:
- Primary Care
- Secondary Care
- Care for Children
- Defibrillator Use
It can be broken down into separate elements if required but the above course is recommended. It is also a pre-requisite (or another current sanctioned First Aid course that includes CPR and AV) for the PADI Rescue Diver.
A part of the course that is not a requirement but is of interest is the care for pets. Most of the First Aid Techniques used on humans will also work on dogs and cats, and whilst this aspect of the course will not lead to certification in pet First Aid, nor is a sanctioned course, it will show you that what works for humans, also works for our other loved ones!
